Marine Beelen

(soprano)

With a Diplôme d'études musicales in operatic singing and ancient music, Marine Beelen pursues her studies with Regina Werner and Barbara Kusa. She is at ease in a large variety of repertories, ranging from opera (role of Poppea in Monteverdi's L'Incoronazione di Poppea, the Witches in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas) to oratorio (Haydn's Theresienmesse, Bach's Matthäus-Passion, Fauré's Requiem, Handel's Messiah...), through English and American musicals (Stephen Sondheim, Bernstein, Christine in The Phantom of the Opera...) and recitals of lieder and mélodies (Master art du récital with Françoise Tillard). She collaborates with several vocal ensembles (I. Retailleau, M. Piquemal, C. Simonpietri) and is a member of the ensemble Coruscant, under the direction of Laurence Pottier and Sophie Boucheron. At the same time, Marine maintains a rich teaching activity, instructing vocal techniques to children and adolescents for the association Aposiopée and in collaboration with Paris' 8th arrondissement conservatory.
